Green wedding cakes have been so popular lately that I thought I would do a spot light focus on them.
Green is a refreshing and versatile colour that can add a natural and organic feel to your wedding cake. With so many shades of green to choose from, you can create a unique and personalised colour scheme for your special day. Below I have put together some ideas and tips for selecting the perfect green wedding cake.
There are so many different shades of green, from soft pastels to vibrant hues. Lighter shades of green, such as mint or sage which can create a romantic and vintage feel. Darker shades, such as forest green or emerald, can add a luxurious and sophisticated touch. You could also consider using multiple shades of green or green marbling in your cake design for a more textured and layered look. Cakes with beautiful sugar flowers and plenty of foliage always look stunning.
Green can be paired with a variety of other colours to create a beautiful colour scheme for your wedding. Green and white is a classic combination that can create a clean and fresh look. Green and gold can add a touch of glamour and opulence. Green and pink can create a playful and whimsical feel. I recently made a stunning forest green wedding cake to match some envelopes and it had fabulous bright pink, yellow and orange sugar flowers on it.
